A Disney Vacation

Magical!! We were so blessed to be able to take the kids and my dad to DisneyWorld for a summer vacation and it was nothing short of amazing.

In September I signed up to sell Scentsy and I knew right away I had to earn the incentive trip to Disney, I set out with a goal in mind and achieved it! I earned a paid for vacation to Florida…flight, hotel at a Disney resort, four day park hopper tickets, character breakfast, and more for FREE. Scentsy allows you to buy in guests so we decided we’d make a family vacation out of it. Lucky us, right?!

I was so worried about the length of the flight with Benson but he did so well the way there and the way home. I definitely think when we travel with him we will continue to book flights in the early AM or late PM because he passes out the majority of the time. Too bad next trip we take he will be 2 and I’ll be paying for his seat! Also, tips for mamas I got traveling toys in the dollar section of Target that were life saving. Slime (Benson’s favorite thing), sticker books (because putting stickers on things kept him busy for 30 minutes or so), magic marker coloring books(mess free), and stretchy monkeys(stick to everything I don’t have to search the floor for them).

We will definitely do a Disney resort again. We stayed at the Beach club Resort and it was AMAZING. The beach like pools were perfect for kids. Benson was in heaven and so was I. Taytum loved the water slide and I didn’t have to worry about her being off on her own inside the resort. The resort had its own arcade, a Beaches N Cream ice cream shop, and a marketplace with some amazing Disney themed food. So cute! Everything looked like we were in some other reality. So cool.

Park 1. We chose Epcot the first day. Both kids were so excited about everything there. I read that Epcot wasn’t really kid friendly, but I disagree. Benson and Taytum both had a blast in fact they had shorter lines for the character spot than any other park we were at. I was so impressed by Benson the entire day. He really was such a breeze. Apparently the day we arrived we were in a tropical storm so we did get poured on but every store sells rain ponchos which we all got. Even in the pouring rain it was still 84 degrees. It was pretty interesting to be caught in it.

Park 2. The second day we went to Hollywood Studios. Both Epcot and Hollywood studios we took a boat from our resort over to. It’s a 5 minute walk to Epcot or a 15 minute walk to Hollywood. They were both so close which was really convenient. Hollywood studios was really fun for everyone. Our favorite was the Aerosmith roller coaster. Benson was really into anything that had music he could dance to, and all of the characters.

Park 3. Our third park was Magic Kingdom which was the most disney like and had a lot of little kid rides to explore, it was also the most crowded! We rode Dumbo, met several characters which Benson couldn’t get enough of it. Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Sophia the 1st were a top favorite for him that day. Tays favorite ride was Space Mountain but that girl can and will ride any of the rides there.

Park 4. The last day we went to Animal Kingdom. I totally did not think that the monkeys swinging from lines above me were real.. They weren’t even caged!!! It was so awesome! It’s a gorgeous park to walk through. We took a safari ride to see alligators, rhinos, elephants, flamingos, and more..all were just kind of roaming free. It was really cool to see the habitats they lived in. Such a fun tour for everyone. It was SUPER hot and humid and Benson really was not having it, we called it a day a little early on and headed back to the resort.

The trip was much needed family time. Papa spoiled his girl and she loved every second of it. We loved sharing our memories with him and we got spoiled too with two nights all to ourselves! We got to enjoy the park kid free and really connect and have fun with each other.

We are already planning our next family vacation. Disney was a blast and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next!

Some of my favorite photos from our trip.
