A Puerto Rican Bachelorette

If I couldn’t get away with a destination wedding I was going to make sure to incorporate it somehow, and lucky for me my besties were willing to play along and plan a trip of a lifetime with me for my bachelorette. Celebrating life has never been so fun!

We found some great flight prices to San Juan, Puerto Rico and took advantage of it! We had a lovely stay at the Ritz for 7 days with a luxurious pool, beach front bar, food, cabanas, whatever we could have dreamed of…all at our fingertips.

The ocean is so beautiful. The Carribean waters are so warm, so blue, and so vast. We spent plenty of time burning our foreheads, noses, and shoulders while Lounging around on the beach all day. We spent hours searching the ocean water for sand dollars. It amazing how close to shore they are. We sifted through the sand and were thrown all over the place as the waves came rolling in but we found so many!! Tay will be SO excited!!!

We visited Old San Juan and spent the day shopping, eating, and site seeing. The cafes were adorable, shopping was good for souvenirs, and the colorful buildings, cobblestone roads, and architecture was something you’d see in a painting.

Zip lining through the the rain forest was another adventure we took advantage of while in Puerto Rico. Bri, Kylee, and I spent the day making out way across cables up to a mile long, suspended in the air like 900 feet above ground. We were so high that as I’m in super man position soaring through the sky a bird literally flew underneath me. It was such an adrenaline rush, but no matter how many lines we did I was terrified each time. I’m glad I can cross it off my list, however I am not sure how excited I will be to do it again. A full day of adrenaline rush after adrenaline rush really wears on my nerves!

We all spent an evening night kayaking through the bio bay to see micro organisms glow in the dark and light up the water. When the micro organisms are agitated they glow as a type of defense mechanism. So we kayaked through a rainforest and into the middle of the bay to see them glow. We had glass bottom kayaks for an even better view, and also encountered a rain storm during our time on the water. A great memory for sure, even if we were soaked head to toe.

The trip was a trip of a lifetime. The adventures were life changing and the beach is my destiny…but doing all of that with the girls who have loved and supported me for years and years and years is what made the trip worth it all. Blessed to have such good people surrounding me with love.

I never knew life was so sweet.
