Samples galore from all the Christmas shopping we did over the last couple of months and one of the samples I got was from The Body Shop of their Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask. I stashed it away in a bathroom drawer thinking I might take it in a travel bag with me somewhere. (samples are awesome for traveling with) but little miss Taytum was searching through the drawers and discovered the masks yelling out that there is enough for the both of us!
Guess that means facials are happening tonight! Next thing I know…..she’s busting out the sparkling cider she got in a family movie night gift basket. Now she’s making this a big thing, so cheers to some girl time!
Girl time with her is few and far between with a toddler boy who is a huge mommas boy. I know she desperately needs some one on one with me so we put Elmo on the tablet for Benson in my bedroom and snuck away while he was too engaged in Elmo to notice we were missing. (It lasted about long enough for us to get it dried on and take a few selfies.) Then he came sneaking in saying “cheese” and “uh me, uh me!” Thankfully he was in and out while Tay and I talked about how silly we looked, and the tinkling sensation of the mask. The smallest moments, and the little conversations we have remind me how big she really is getting. How mature she is for her age, and all the little things I will forever cherish.
Now to my review!
The mask is infused with bamboo charcoal, organic tea tree oil, and green tea leaves. The clay mask is paraben, paraffin, silicone and mineral oil free.
Applying the mask was a wake me up, the scent of bamboo is so refreshing. The mask is grainy so it exfoliates as it is being applied and dries rather quickly. I love the tingling sensation as it dries. My face is super dry right now, as it usually is during the winter season. The mask was really refreshing and left my face feeling moisturized without feeling greasy.
Tay says her face is glowing and the softest she’s ever felt. She also loves the sparkling cider. Facials are her thing!
