Ringing in the New Year

…..with my bed. party hats. noise makers. snacks. and popcorn…..

Let’s be real. It’s likely be asleep by midnight. (Late post. I was indeed asleep by midnight)

However, reflecting on 2016 has been perfect, and if ending it with a little relaxation and staying indoors with little man is the plan. I am A.O.K. with that  (missing sissy tonight)

Let’s recap some of my most favorite moments of 2016.

Sold our first home together to build our dream home! Tested our patience for a long 7 months but living in such close quarters taught us a lot about each other, our family dynamics, and set our future up for a new and greater appreciation of space, a home of our own, and the things money can’t buy.

Traveled near and far to conquer some new adventures with family and friends. From weekend trips to Seattle, to a week long trip to Disneyworld, and a Puerto Rican paradise with the best of the best. My DREAM job is to travel. To see everything their is to see. To show my kids the world is vast and it’s theirs to experience.

My personal focus for 2016 was to grow my faith in Jesus, to expand my friendships and relationships in my church by branching out. That means, choosing to sit in the front row, choosing to say hi to people even when super uncomfortable, and choosing to open my heart to what God has called of me. Choosing to be obedient in what he says. This year he has spoken loud and clear to me, and it’s been the most reassuring thing I have ever heard.

unnamed-3OH and HEY! The LOVE of my life and I got MARRIED! Our wedding was the most memorable moment of 2016 for sure. Everything was a dream come true. The atmosphere, the decor, the weather, the food, the dress, the love was so surreal. Our marriage is something I have longed for and this was the year to seal the deal.

Beyond thrilled to have created such memories with so many wonderful people in 2016. I can’t wait to see what 2017 brings.
