I am obsessed with being a mom. Like literally. It is my whole life. I live and breathe motherhood. But all mommas need a little time out.
I used to have all the time for a good workout, or a fun class, or even like twenty minutes to go tanning but with two kids and a job I never have time. Or at least that’s my excuse.
Tonight, I got a sitter and spent 80 minutes doing complicated yoga poses in a sauna with a good friend of mine. (Thanks for the push Anna!)
I’ve never seen sweat drip off my body like that! My legs were shaking, my arms were shaking, my core was on fire.
I may or may not have almost fainted once or twice, but it was amazing! I almost gave up knowing that right outside that door was a comfortable 70 degree room for me to cool off in. But I stuck it out, and at the end of the class got a cold washcloth with lavender and it really sucked me in. Basically. The washcloth sold me.
Here I am a couple hours later still reliving this fantastic night I had. I feel so relaxed and ready to take on another day with my crazy schedule and crazy kids. There’s nothing a little mommy time out can’t cure!
Oh and friends! I’ve joined the studio for a full month of unlimited access so if you’re looking to try it out, I’ll totally go with you, and even better… Jabbers is RIGHT next door so kiddos can play(sitter still required) and we can focus on us for a bit!
