That’s a wrap!

This season was Taytum’s first season as a competitive gymnast and man is this mama proud.

Tays fearlessness shined through at every meet. I remembered her on stage in her first ballet performance and begging to always perform. I thought of her singing at her schools talent show last year, and her bravery to get up in front of others. She loves to be in the spot light.

Every meet was just as nerve racking for me as the next. I bite my nails the entire time waiting to see how she’s going to do. She has come SO far this year in her performance.

Tays strongest event is bars, but her favorite is floor. Her strength on bars is absolutely astonishing. She’s beautiful to watch, and her bar routine always looks so effortless.

Yesterday we loaded up the car and headed to Moscow with baby brother in tow to finish off the competition season. I’m so happy and proud, I have loved every second of it. (But, I am excited to have weekends back, and too stop stressing over leos and grips)

My baby girl is growing up. The tiny tot that worked so hard to get her “tick tock” at 3 years old is now 9 and performing in front of so many far beyond what I expected.

There were so many great gymnasts who qualified for state. Tay’s team did amazing, and she rocked it! She scored her highest to date on floor (9.2) and ended the meet with an all around score of 36.125! She placed 4th all around. 6th on beam, 5th on bars, and 4th on floor.

She believes she’ll be attending UCLA as a gymnast (although last week it was Utah State) and I’m going to help her get there. So excited to see where this journey takes her! Way to go baby girl, mom loves you!
