You don’t gotta go to work work work work..

Sooooo. I KNOW the song isn’t talking about work from home mommas but it does pop into my head over and over again when I think about my scentsy biz doing fabulous. I just get so excited when I get in my car to take my oldest babe to school and that song is on and I’m like hhaaaayyyy…

But really.

So, if you look back months ago when I started Scentsy I wrote a blog about it and I have given it my absolute best effort ever since. Now, It’s only been six months since I began this journey but I have to say it has paid off!

Do I put in effort? Uh yes….I do go above and beyond (or so I think) for my Scentsy customers. I send them cute cards in the mail every now and then. I remember the things they order and try to keep them on hand for those who wanna sneak on over and grab what they need. I check in with them regularly to see if they are needing anything or if I think their is something they would love. I remember their kids names, their life story (lets face it..the majority of them are friends or family so it isn’t difficult to remember and for all the new ones, I LOVE NEW FRIENDS) I also have found that the biggest success I have had is networking. There is no shame in my Scentsy game. Samples, cards, flyers…whatever it takes to make a dollar! I will ask anyone and everyone to share my website page, take samples to their work, buy…buy…and buy some more. HEY. It’s a business. I support any and all hard working moms trying to make income. It’s hard work!

I am going somewhere with this…

After six months and hard work, strategy, mentoring, and networking, and most importantly SUPER AWESOME SUPPORT FROM AMAZING FRIENDS AND FAMILY, I have promoted 3 times, and just hit my fourth about 30 minutes ago.

I was hoping that within this year (2016) I would promote to super star consultant. I had no idea I would make that happen three months into the year. I busted some serious butt and blessings upon blessings have fallen upon me and I am just so thankful. I wanted to work from home, I wanted to make extra income, I wanted to support my kids in their athletics, pay for my wedding, save for college funds, pay my car payment… I mean really, adult life comes with tons of bills. Mom life comes with even more!

Not only did I promote this month, but I was also recognized for being a mentor to those who signed up to join my team. Each one of those girls rocked their first month of business, hitting their own first goals and earning promotions. THIS IS HUGE. Seeing others be successful and find enjoyment and excitement in something they love doing is more rewarding than just being a consultant myself.

I am so thankful for everyone wanting to see my success it really drives me to help everyone else get their success. This really has been the funnest job. I love the product, there’s something so exciting about sales and the potential of determining your own wages, and the freedom to do it while the kids are in bed or napping. I earn free trips, I make money, I make friends, I build a team…I am made for this.

…We can work from hoooome….

  1. How much of a commission do you make from sales when you first start out? What incentives help you get promotions? πŸ™‚

    1. Hey!! So you start out with 20% commission but after you hit 1000 in sales you’ll make 25% commission from that point on. And if you hit 2k in one month you make 30% commission for that month. You promote as you sale and grow your team. It’s kind of a team effort!
