Thank the good Lord for friends. Honestly, how else would I have discovered this precious Artisan boutique bakery on the North End of Boise.

Yesterday our friends came over and brought dessert to share. This box of heaven unfolded before me to display six beautifully presented edible treasures. I knew then…it was going to be a weekly thing.

Fast forward to today. (That didn’t take long) I insisted my friend and I go check it out after our pedicures.

We did and it was the best mommy time out ever. I didn’t have to hide in my car with my treats, or wait until nap time, or eat with a child on my lap, or share any of it with anyone!!

We sat. We ate. We drank. We chatted. And we took photos. Foodie for sure.

The pastries at JanJou are hand crafted. The design on each one is almost too perfect to eat. They use organic and local ingredients. So basically, Diet friendly, right?

I don’t particularly like quiche and even the quiche was so so good. The croissants. Too die for. And the sweets. Irresistible.

The atmosphere of the bakery is so peaceful. It’s a quiet modern little set up and the two ladies working were so fun to chat with.
